Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan called on the Department of Public works and Highways (DPWH) to finish the infrastructure projects along the Summer Capital’s national roads before the Panagbenga Festival’s grand street dancing parade on February 24.
The Baguio politiko said the completion of the projects will make sure that the traffic situation in the city will flow smoothly during the festival.
He added the safety of residents and visitors should also be considered.
Domogan also asked the DPWH to clear debris from the road projects if the agency will not be able to finish them on time for the Panagbenga’s major activities.
“We need to make sure that the major causes of traffic congestions, like the diggings being done along our national roads, will be minimized during the flower festival major events so that the public will have the chance to enjoy the festive mood,” Domogan said.
