Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan called on the Department of Energy (DOE) to probe why fuel prices are very high in the Summer Capital.
The Baguio politiko earlier expressed alam over the higher fuel prices in the city compared to the other areas of the country.
Domogan said he is not satisfied with the DOE’s explanation that the distance of Baguio contributes to the higher prices of fuel.
He said the situation is unfair to Baguio because fuel prices are lower in La Trinidad and Buguias.
Domogan also said he is waiting for the Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) monitoring report on fuel prices so he can cite the findings in his letter to the DOE.
