Mayor Domogan urges Baguio City Council to improve incentives for taxpayers

Oct 11, 2018 @ 13:09

Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan called on the city council to improve the city government’s incentives to taxpayers in order to entice them to religiously settle their tax obligations.

This after the Baguio politiko vetoed Ordinance No. 114 which grants amnesty or relief to delinquent real estate taxpayers.

Domogan said there is already an existing ordinance that provides 20% discount to real property taxpayers who pay their taxes in advance.

He also cited the discounts given to taxpayers who pay within the first quarter of the year.

Domogan said giving frequent relief to deliquent taxpayers will send a wrong message to the people.
