Outgoing Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan has expressed concern over the sub-leasing of stalls in the Summer Capital’s public market.
The Baguio politiko warned stallholders against the illegal practice amid city government’s intensified drive against it.
“We were able to discover a number of sub-leased stalls in the different parts of the city public market,” Domogan said.
“That is why the local government was constrained to include the sub-leased stalls as part of the market stalls that were bidded out,” he added.
But Domogan admitted it was difficult to find concrete evidence against those who sub-lease their stalls.
