Mayor Domogan eyes ‘better venue’ for carnival rides in Baguio
Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan said a “better venue” for the proposed carnival operations in Melvin Jones football grounds is needed.
The Baguio politiko clarified that he is not against the amusement rides.
“We do not object to the proposed operation of carnival rides in the city because it will be an added attraction for our residents and visitors, especially during the summer vacation but it should not be done in Melvin Jones, thus, the need for the proponent and the concerned offices to look for a better venue for the said activity,” Domogan said.
The Baguio city council earlier passed a resolution allowing the operation of carnival rides in Melvin Jones.
The carnival rides will be part of the summer activities in Baguio City.#
