Ambaguio Mayor Arnold Dinungon has asked the Nueva Vizcaya provincial government for funds to build roads for the development of the municipality’s eco-tourism industry.

The Nueva Vizcaya politiko said underdeveloped roads have enabled the New People’s Army (NPA) to gain sympathy in the upland villages.

Dinungon the underdeveloped roads are located in Barangay Poblacion, Camandag, and Napo, which also serve as an alternative route going to Mount Pulag.

Nueva Vizcaya Governor Carlos Padilla said Dinungon’s request has already been approved by the Provincial Peace and Order Committee and has been sent to the Office of the Presidential Assistant on the Peace Process (OPAPP).

“We need this road development fund to provide better access roads for local and foreign tourists and to discourage influence of communist rebels that we are not doing something to uplift the economic development of our constituents,” Dinungon said.#
