Santa Barbara Mayor Joel de los Santos called on four big firms operating in the town to conduct mass testing of their employees.
This after 135 workers of a San Miguel Corporation plant tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID19).
Ninety-one workers are residents of Santa Barbara.
“This should serve as a wake-up call to other companies,” De los Santos said.
He said that workers of the San Miguel plant will need to have a negative swab test result before being allowed to go to work again.
