Mankayan Mayor Frenzel Ayong has relaxed market restrictions following a recent spike in coronavirus disease (COVID19) cases in the town.
This after Ayong said the COVID19 cases in the Lepanto mine camp has been put under control.
The Benguet politiko said residents can now go to the public market daily.
“We also want the local economy to regain its vibrance, especially that the COVID situation in the municipality is under control,” Ayong said.
“The businesses in our municipality had suffered enormous losses over the past nine months since the implementation of the Luzonwide lockdown that is why we have to take the initiative of opening up the economic activities of the people,” he added.
