Mankayan Mayor Frenzel Ayong said that the municipality has been selected by the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) as one of the rural impact sourcing hubs in the Cordillera.
The Mountain Province politiko explained that being one of the rural impact sourcing hubs means having better internet connectivity.
Ayong said this will attract more internet-based businesses in Mankayan.
He also said better internet means improved transactions in the municipal hall.
“We will surely take advantage of this opportunity being provided by the DICT so that we will be able to lobby for the improved internet connectivity in the municipality which will be beneficial to all our constituents even those from the remote villages,” Ayong said.
