Bauko Mayor Abraham Akilit recently led the inauguration of a six-kilometer farm-to-market road in Barangay Tapapan.
The Mountain Province politiko said he is hopeful that the 3,000 hectares of land covered by the new road will become productive.
He also said over 6,500 residents will benefit from the farm-to-market road.
Moreover, Akilit said the new road should boost tourism in the town.
“The completion of one of our priority road projects will definitely spur agricultural and economic activities in the beneficiary barangays because people can now easily transport their produce to the nearest trading centers inside and outside the municipality,” he said.
