Baguio City Representative Mark Go said presidents of state universities and colleges (SUCs) should see their jobs not as a sacrifice but their contribution to the Philippines.
The politiko said this during the hearing of the House Committee on Higher and Technical Education on Tuesday, July 20, when he met with 114 SUC presidents.
“Please do not think that being a state university or college president is a sacrifice. You are helping and making things happen for our children. Can you imagine being able to mold young minds to drive this nation forward?” said Go.
“Public service is not a sacrifice. It is our contribution to our country,” he added.
