Baguio City Representative Mark Go said he expects that the Summer Capital’s charter will soon be updated.
The Baguio politiko lauded Baguio officials and stakeholders for attending the Committee on Local Government hearing last November 26.
Go said his revisions on the proposed Baguio Charter has been approved in the committee level.
“The charter of Baguio took effect on Sept 1, 1909. It is very much evident that the social, economic, and political environment of Baguio has drastically changed 110 years since,” he said.
“There is a pressing and urgent need to revise our city’s charter to enable its continuous growth in the midst of this dynamic times, and in response to the city’s multitude of land issues and the growing concerns brought about by urbanization and development,” Go added.
