Baguio City Representative Mark Go said that more needs to be done to improve the accessibility of higher education in the country.

The Baguio politiko made the statement despite the passage of the free tertiary education law which he co-authored.

“We have to do more so we can help those who wish to pursue studies in private educational institutions because public higher education is not yet accessible to most,” Go said.

He said that he intends to file a bill that will give more scholarships to deserving students.

“For this coming term, we shall pass measures to increase scholarship grants given to students in private college educational institutions and extend subsidies and other benefits to private higher educational institutions to help them keep their teachers and provide quality education,” Go said.
