Three senior Malacañang officials vowed to support Cordillera’s quest for autonomy.
The three are Presidential Peace Adviser Jesus Dureza, Presidential Adviser for North Luzon Raul Lambino, and Presidential Legislative Liaison Office Secretary Adelino Sitoy.
Dureza said achieving Cordillera autonomy will complete the Duterte administration’s peace process for both Northern and Southern Philippines.
“We will do our part in ensuring the enactment of the pending autonomy bills into law but what is important is for Cordillerans to make sure that your third crack towards achieving autonomy will be successful for the government to be able to fulfill the whole peace process in the south and the north,” Dureza said.
Lambino also promised to talk to lawmakers to get their support for the proposed Autonomous Region fo the Cordillera (ARC).
