The Department of Agriculture (DA) in the Cordillera Administrative Region was alarmed with the increasing cases of the African Swine Flu (ASF) which is now infecting wild pigs in Abra.

According to the DA, some cases of the swine outbreak were recorded among native and wild pigs in Boliney, Malibcong, Daguioman and Tineg towns of the province.

DA regional director Cameron Odsey expressed that the government is having a hard time investigating how the wild pigs were infected and said that they have yet to determine the number of infections so far.
