Former House Speaker Jose De Venecia and his wife, former Pangasinan congresswoman Gina De Venecia were the ultimate stage parents for their son, Pangasinan 4th District Representative Christopher “Toff” De Venecia.
It was obvious the North Luzon politikos were oozing with pride after their son successfully staged “Carousel,” the play he directed that recently premiered at the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
The younger De Venecia posted a photo of his parents holding on to him with smiles on their faces at the end of the show. The picture was taken by former AAMBIS-OWA congresswoman turned Department of Energy Undersecretary Sharon Garin.
“Flanked by my two biggest critics but also staunchest supporters and defenders after last night’s show of R&H’s Carousel! Love this candid moment captured at the CCP Black Box lobby by my mentor Department of Energy Undersecretary @congshaws,” De Venecia said on Instagram on Friday, December 2.
“JDV’s smile here is soooo infectious! Love you fam!” he added.
