Baguio City Representative Mark Go believes education still stands to thrive despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
The politiko made the statement during the virtual conference of the Parliamentary Partnership on Educational and Cultural Cooperation for Sustainable Development on Thursday, July 30.
Go was the head of the Philippine delegation to the said conference.
“Let’s look at education not as a casualty in the tug of war between health and livelihood during this COVID-19 pandemic. Rather, it should be an enabler,” Go said.
“We can achieve this by first making a review of the current content and mode of learning so we can change and adapt to the times. Let’s teach children relevant and meaningful competencies in the most effective and safe way so that they may better face today’s reality and the future,” added the congressman.
