Let them play, think, live: Mayor Jose-Quiambao pushes parents to nurture their kids

Bayambang, Pangasinan Mayor Niña Jose-Quiambao urged parents to continue nurturing their children, saying they are the future of their town.

In her State of the Children’s Address on Friday, November 25, the North Luzon politiko said that kids should be allowed “to play, to think, to live” so they can reach their dreams.

“We must give them the time to dream. We must give them the opportunity to grow. Dapat natin silang bigyan ng sapat na suporta upang sila ay makabuo ng sariling pag-iisip at pangarap,” Jose-Quiambao said on Facebook.

The mayor argued children who are nurtured well have a better chance growing up with love of country and of their neighbours.

“Our children are the seeds of the future. It is on how we nurture them, how we treat them, and how we take care of them that determines how they will treat each other,” said Jose-Quiambao.

“Alam ko na bawat isa sa atin ay gusto silang maging mabubuting tao, kaya’t tayong mga nakatatanda ay dapat maging mabuting ehemplo sa mga kabataang Bayambangueño,” she added.
