The Commission on Elections (Comelec) in Baguio expressed that it is confident to reach its 10,000 registrations target before the deadline on September 30.
According to City Election Officer John Paul Martin, that since the Comelec En Banc has extended the office hours of the poll body, it is very possible for them to reach their goal.
“We are confident that we will be able to hit the target with the average 200 clients per day,” he said.
He added that they will also be intensifying measures to encourage more registrations. As of the end of July, Comelec-Baguio has listed 4,744 additional voters who have registered since it was opened last year.
