Baguio City is launching a mobile vaccination program to reach over 12,000 senior citizens who are yet to receive their COVID-19 vaccine.
Mayor Benjamin Magalong on Thursday said that mobile vaccination teams will be deployed to multiple barangays to expedite the inoculation of its most vulnerable sector.
The Politiko added that this is their proposed alternative and solution for those who refuse to queue in vaccination sites for fear of exposure to the virus.
Barangays should coordinate with the LGU and register senior citizens in their area, as well as persons with disabilities for them to be accommodated. Mayor Magalong assured the public that teams can “jump off in just an hour’s notice. For the first dose, we can vaccinate around 50 people in one to one and a half hours, we have already tested this.”
