The local government of Lingayen, Pangasinan has announced that they will be opening a new COVID-19 isolation facility to keep up with the increasing number of active and suspected cases in the municipality.
In an interview on Tuesday, Lingayen Mayor Leopoldo Bataoil said that the new facility will have the capacity to accommodate 50 beds. The Politiko added that it will also accommodate mild and emergency cases while they are waiting to be admitted to the hospitals.
“We are targeting to open the facility within the week. It was already approved by the Department of Education and we are working for the accreditation from the provincial Inter-Agency Task Force and the Department of Health (DOH),” he said.
