Imee thinks term limits are pointless: Meron bang walang apelyido at mahirap na nanalo?

Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos thinks limiting politikos to fixed terms is pointless.

Marcos said term limits – one six -year term for president, two straight six-year terms for senators, and three, straight three-year terms for representatives – have so far proved to be useless in preventing the rich and powerful from dominating politics and helping no names and poor to win elections.

kandidato ng pagkakaton dahil sa term limit?” said Marcos In the
senatorial debate on GMA,

So ‘yung 67 percent na pare-pareho ang apelyido, eh naging 91 percent pa sa panahon ngayon,” said Marcos with his eldest son, Borgy, in the audience.

Marcos believed that for true reform to take root, a politiko should have no term limits because fighting poverty has no timeline.

“Pag nag-jackpot tay at mayroong matinong kandidato, hind ba?
