Governor Imee Marcos is already saying goodbye to Ilocos Norte!
The politiko got a little sentimental as the province celebrated this year’s Tan-Ok Festival, which would be Marcos’ last as governor. She is running for senator in the May elections.
Marcos told the Ilocanos that she is not truly leaving them behind. Rather, she is set to replicate what she has done in Ilocos Norte to other provinces in the country.
“Wala tayong iniwan sa ano mang sulok ng ating probinsya, walang purok, walang barangay na nanatiling gutom o sobrang mahihirap. Yung mahihirap man, kilala na natin at aarugain, aasikasuhin, aalagaan habang buhay nila,” said Marcos.
“Sa inyong lahat, pasingkidan ki kina Tan-ok ni ilokano. Thank you for making me your governor,” she added.
