Senator Imee Marcos said that she is now thinking of supporting the revival of death penalty despite opposing it in the past.
The Ilocos Norte politiko made the call following the recent release of the decision on the Maguindanao massacre.
Marcos opposed the death penalty when she was still Ilocos Norte representative.
She said she constantly argued with her mom, former first lady Imelda Marcos, on the issue.
“But the law is an organic, living thing that must respond to our extraordinary times,” Marcos said.
She explained that the death penalty must only be applied to plunderers and large-scale drug traffickers.
“Definitely, no juveniles,” Marcos said.
