Senator Imee Marcos was exasperated by the continued presence of the Chinese military at the West Philippine Sea.
In an excerpt of her interview with reporters posted on Facebook on Tuesday, April 6, the Ilocano politiko said China should not be occupying the West Philippine Sea since it belongs to the Philippines.
“Nakakapikon naman talaga kasi atin ‘yun,” said Marcos.
She then urged President Rodrigo Duterte’s government to forge alliances not just with the United States, but with other countries in Southeast Asia to exert pressure on China to leave.
“Let’s push the multilateral action with the ASEAN,” said Marcos.
