Senator Imee Marcos said she is not in favor of reviving the Anti-subversion Act.
The Ilocos Norte politiko made the remark following calls by the police and military to fight insurgency by reviving the old law.
“The Anti-Subversion Act is a relic of the Cold War era,” Marcos said.
She said it’s better to update the country’s 12-year-old anti-terrorism law.
“It is not ideology but criminal acts that should be punished,” Marcos added.
