Imee Marcos calls SONA critics ‘deaf, numb quibblers’


Senator Imee Marcos on July 28 called critics of President Rodrigo Duterte’s speech in his State of the Nation Address (SONA) as “deaf and numb.”

The Ilocos Norte politiko said Duterte’s critics are “deaf and numb quibblers who failed to hear the clarion call for transformational change.”

Marcos also said Duterte’s message was “loud and clear.”

“President Duterte’s message to the nation is loud and clear: Change now or forever hold your peace, transform or perish!” she said.

Duterte failed to mention any plan for the worsening coronavirus disease (COVID19) pandemic in his SONA.
