The province of Ilocos Norte tallied its first two cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, March 31.
The Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center (MMMH&MC) confirmed two of the patients under investigation who are confined in the hospital tested positive.
Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc shared the MMMH&MC’s post on his Facebook page and assured Ilocanos they are currently conducting contact tracing.
“We are now working on the contact tracing of the said confirmed cases. Rest assured that the MMMH&MC and the PGIN thru the Task Force Salun-at is under control,” Manotoc said.
“We ask the public to remain indoors, and minimize outside movement. Always coordinate with your local officials for any concerns and queries. Stay tuned for further updates. Until then, stay at home and stay safe,” the politiko added.
