Ilocos Norte 2nd District Senior Board Member Matthew Marcos Manotoc kicked off his bid for governor on Friday, March 29.
The politiko said he would build on the programs of his mother, Ilocos Norte Governor turned senatorial candidate Imee Marcos.
“We will improve our healthcare system by making sure health services and medicine are both available and affordable for all. We need to improve our hospitals, clinics, and RHUs while creating more jobs in the province,” said Manotoc.
He also vowed to improve the province’s irrigation system and to invest more to help micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
“Panahon na parang ayusin and magpagawa ng mga irigasyon at water system para masigurado ang sapat na supply ng tubig lalo na sa panahon ng El Niño,” said Manotoc.
“Let us reinforce the development of food processing and packaging, agri-business, and marketing to suport our MSMEs,” he added.
