The Ifugao State University announced its official membership in the Consortium of Open Distance Education Providers in the Philippines (Codepp).
IFSU information officer Faith Belingon Napudo said that the university was a signatory in the memorandum of agreement (MoA) with seven other higher education institutions in the country. She noted that the MoA signing was held last January 31, at the Benguet State University in La Trinidad, Benguet.
IFSU President Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon represented the university and participated in the signing, along with Dr. Melinda Bandalaria, University of the Philippines-Open University (UPOU) chancellor; Dr. Felipe Comila, Benguet State University president; and Dr. Hernando Robles, Cavite State University president.
Membership in the Codepp will open more opportunities for idea and expertise exchange by providing a venue for a discussion of instructional best practices, and research findings on flexible and technology-enhanced and open distance e-learning among consortium members and other institutions that are interested in implementing strategies for lifelong learning and inclusive education, among others.
