Help is on its way! DOT to provide cash assistance to displaced tourism workers

The Department of Tourism has announced that they will be offering financial assistance to more than 400,000 displaced tourism sector workers due to the impacts of the pandemic in the country.

According to DOT Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, the financial aid is under the Department of Tourism-Department of Labor and Employment Cash Assistance Program of the Bayanihan 2.

Out of the 465,300 workers that will receive the cash assistance, 26,908 are from Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR); 45,709 from Region 1; while 17,293 from Region 2.
