Kalinga has declared a total ban on the entry of live pigs and pork products into the province due to the threat of African Swine Fever (ASF).
Kalinga Governor Ferdinand Tubban said the total ban is meant to protect and promote the wellbeing of the province.
Tubban released the declaration of the total ban in his Executive Order 59 dated November 5.
Under the EO, the Kalinga politiko also ordered intensified checkpoint operations in the province.
He also called on pig farmers to maintain cleanliness in their facilities.
