Tourists from Luzon need to wait a little longer before they can visit the province of Ilocos Sur again.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, October 18, Governor Ryan Singson said they will reopen their borders once the guidelines have been set by the Department of Tourism and the Ilocos Sur COVID-19 Task Force.
“To streamline with the other provinces in the region, Ilocos Sur will also reopen its doors to Luzon tourists once systems and guidelines are set in place by the Department of Tourism and the Ilocos Sur COVID-19 Task Force,” Singson said.
“This aims to relieve our fellow Ilocossurians in the tourism sector like the kutseros, tour guides, and many others from financial blow inflicted by COVID-19. Rest assured we will do it slowly but surely, with strict consideration of the minimum health standard protocols,” he added.
