Nueva Vizcaya Governor Carlos Padilla said he supports the shift to federalism.
But the Nueva Vizcaya politiko said he is not keen on the province becoming part of a regional state.
“If you are to ask me, it’s a ‘yes’ to federalism but ‘no’ to a regional state,” Padilla said.
He said there will be a “quarrel” between the national and regional governments if this happens.
“If autonomy will be given to a regional state, there will be a quarrel between the national and regional or between the regional and provincial governments,” he explained.
