Nueva Vizcaya Governor Carlos Padilla has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the SN Aboitiz Power-Magat, Inc. (SNAPM) for the funding of a Bamboo Plantation Project in the province.
Under the agreement, the power firm will allocate P700,000 for the project.
The Nueva Vizcaya provincial government, meanwhile, will shoulder any excess cost in the implementation of the project.
The bamboo plantation will be located in the Lower Magat Eco-tourism Park in Diadi.
The project aims to replant denuded areas with bamboo.
The undertaking is part of SNAPM’s corporate social responsibility initiatives.
