Nueva Vizcaya Governor Carlos Padilla on June 24 said the provincial government budget must be geared towards adjusting to the “new normal.”
The Nueva Vizcaya politiko made the remark during this year’s budget forum attended by the provincial government’s top officials.
Padilla said government resources must be optimized to the coronavirus disease (COVID19) pandemic.
“As leaders of the province, we have to be forward-looking and focused on development interventions geared towards its quick recovery from the scourge,” he said.
“We also need to put in place firm mechanisms in response to the demands of the post-pandemic era, otherwise known as NEW NORMAL life,” Padilla added.
