Nueva Vizcaya Govenor Carlos Padilla recently led the inauguration of an P88-million farm-to-market road in Bagabag.
The Nueva Vizcaya politiko said the project was initiated during the term of his wife and former governor Ruth Padilla.
The Nueva Vizcaya provincial government and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) jointly funded the project.
“This has been a long dream of farmers in the three barangays to uplift their agricultural production. Portions of this road project has been earlier funded by the provincial government along with other national government agencies,” Padilla said.
“We only have 30 percent agricultural areas in the lowlands, but we have 70 percent in the uplands, that is why we want to focus infra support there to open up more economic developments,” he added.#
