Nueva Vizcaya Governor Carlos Padilla led the groundbreaking of a new 7.8-kilometer road connecting Ambaguio to Cagayan Valley.
The P95-million road project will ease transportation from Ambaguio to Bayombong.
Ambaguio is relatively isolated because of its mountainous terrain.
Padilla said the funding came from the Conditional Matching Grant to Provinces by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
“May this blessing bring forth the most awaited progress for the Kalanguya indigenous cultural communities,” he said.
