Nueva Vizcaya Governor Carlos Padilla is pushing for P160.7 million budget allocation for the province’s tourism program in 2018.
The Nueva Vizcaya politiko said the proposed budget will be used to boost the province’s eco-tourism attractions.
“We are elated because we were able to push and include this fund through the GAA for 2018. We expect that this will be approved for our province to further develop the access roads for our tourism sites and attractions,” Padilla said.
He added that the tourism budget will be used to build and improve roads for the Capisaan Tourist Village in Kasibu, the Lower Magat Eco-Tourism Park in Diadi, and the alternative trail to Mount Pulag in Ambangeg.
The P160.7 million budget will be funded via the Tourism Roads Infrastructure Prioritization Program of the Department of Tourism and Department of Public Works and Highways.
