Benguet Governor Crescencio Pacalso said the province is slowly making the shift to organic farming.
The Benguet politiko made the statement during the closing ceremony of the Adivay Festival.
Pacalso said that since the province is supplying 80% of vegetables in the market, there is great potential for organic farming.
He explained that shifting to organic farming will improve vegetable farming in Benguet.
“For now, our direction is to have, as much as possible, all our farms to be good agricultural practice (GAP) certified,” Pacalso said.
