Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos said her province, Negros Occidental, and Bacolod City, can collaborate in a lot of areas.
The Ilocos Norte politiko made the remark during the 39th MassKara Festival.
Marcos said the two provinces could work together on agriculture, tourism, and film-making.
“We’re both agricultural-based, we’re in similar situation,” she explained.
But Marcos also said she has pushed for the diversification of the province’s income.
“We have managed to bring in 2.5 million tourists a year. We have only two districts, yours is a much larger province. I think the tourism potential not only of MassKara, but the entire Negros Island is very, very undervalued,” she said.
