Cagayan Governor Manuel Mamba on May 9 slammed the gruesome killing of a “barker driver” of Baggao mayoral candidate Arnold Alonzo.
Alonzo is running under Mamba’s Grupo ti Pabaruen to Cagayan.
Jomar Alonzo, a relative of the mayoral candidate, was supposedly shot by communist rebels after he refused to give P200,000 in “campaign fees” to the New Peoples Army.
Mamba called the Alonzo’s murder a “cowardly act” and a “form of terrorism.”
