Benguet Governor Melchor Diclas called on residents and local government units to accept returning overseas Filipino workers (OFW) and locally stranded individuals (LSI) with complete documents.
The Benguet politiko said they there is no reason to reject OFWs and LSIs if they have complete documents and are negative for the coronavirus disease (COVID19).
Diclas said more than 800 OFWs and LSIs have returned to their respective home towns via the provincial government’s Hatid Sundo Program.
Under the Hatid Sundo program, provincial government vehicles transport OFWs and LSIs from different places to the quarantine facility in Wangal in La Trinidad.
Diclas also said some OFWs and LSIs returned via private vehicles.
