Benguet Governor Melchor Diclas called on employers to let their workers have enough rest to help strengthen their immune systems against the coronavirus disease (COVID19).
The Benguet politiko made the remark after the province recorded a spike in COVID19 cases in June.
Diclas said most of the new cases are frontline workers.
He also called on vegetable traders to strictly enforce the “no touchdown policy.”
“They should also let their personnel rest because a weak immune system is one of the causes of infection,” Diclas said.
“So rest must be a priority for the frontliners, traders, and farmers,” he added.
