Benguet Governor Melchor Diclas said the province is gearing up for the reopening of tourism in Baguio.
This after Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong earlier said the city government might open up the Summer Capital for local tourism in September.
Diclas explained that there will be a spillover of tourists to other towns once Baguio tourism reopens.
He said he will call for a meeting with tourism officials of Benguet’s 13 towns.
“In case Baguio City opens, we need to prepare because that is also a means of providing income to some of our citizens,” Diclas said.
