Abra Governor Jocelyn Valera-Bernos said Cordillera will need more than P33 billion in investments from P2020 to 2022 to aid in the region’s recovery from the coronavirus disease (COVID19) pandemic.
The Abra politiko made the statement in her State of the Region Address (SORA).
Bernos said Cordillera has lost at least P18.6 billion because of the pandemic.
But she said she is confident Cordillera will be able to recover.
“Our resilience, our perseverance and optimism as Cordillerans, we will survive. We will recover. We will overcome,” Bernos said.
