Go local to save the locals: Imee Marcos pushes tax exemptions Pinoy-made PPEs

Ilocano Senator Imee Marcos wants to exempt local manufacturers of personal protective equipment (PPEs) from paying taxes.

In filing Senate Bill number 1708 or the Healthcare Manufacturing and Pandemic Protection Act, the politiko said this would lessen the Philippines’ reliance on imported PPEs and other medical supplies.

It would at the same time ensure Filipino frontliners are protected.
