COVID19 National Task Force Implementer Carlito Galvez Jr said other local government units (LGU) should emulate the best practices of Baguio City and the Cordillera in containing the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID19).
Galvez recently visited Baguio for the meeting of the Cordillera Inter-Agency Task for on COVID19 and the Cordillera Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC).
He said the best practices of Baguio and the Cordillera led to minimal positive cases of COVID19 in the region.
Galvez pointed out the use of technology in contact tracing in the Summer Capital and the region that helped contain the spread of COVID19.
The 46 COVID19 cases in Cordillera came from Baguio, Benguet, Abra, and Ifugao.
Three provinces — Apayao, Kalinga, and Mountain Province — are still free from COVID19.
