The provincial government of Pangasinan has confirmed the recovery of four patients with the Omicron variant of COVID-19.

In a provincial board session, the Provincial Health Office noted that the patients are from Dagupan City, Urdaneta City, Sto. Tomas, and Mangatarem.

“They tested positive on December 26 and by now, they have already finished their 14-day quarantine period and have already recovered,” PHO chief Anna Ma. Teresa De Guzman said.

PHO also said that the current surge of new infections in the province can be attributed to Omicron’s community transmission.

“We are at moderate risk, not in critical, that is why we were placed under Alert Level 3 system to prevent a further surge in cases and we could already place interventions,” she added.
