Fire hits local grocery in Cagayan

A fire broke out and left around P3 million worth of damage in Baggao town, Cagayan province on Tuesday morning, authorities said.

According to the initial investigation, the fire began at 12:45 a.m. and put out about 3 a.m.

Fire Officer 3 Joey Jose, chief investigator of Baggao fire station, said they were looking into an electrical short circuit as the possible cause of the fire.

Also damaged in the fire were the building that housed the store and equipment. Investigators said that the owner and his family were not harmed during the accident.
